With so much ‘here’ here at Barefoot, your days can be as full as you want to make them. Two lakes, a waterside park, and the St. Vrain River are an extension of Barefoot Lakes’ backyard. And Barefoot Village will offer a whole other host of places to go and gather, from the neighborhood café and taproom to pop-up farmstands. Of course, there are pools, trails and more (hint: keep reading).
You don’t have to head to the lakes to be near water. In the heart of our Barefoot Lakes neighborhood (and open to all residents of The Lakes and The Village) you’ll find The Cove, a community pool and gathering spot with a splash pad, beach-entry pool and 6-lane competition lap pool. Plus a very well-equipped fitness center, outdoor grills and firepits, pickleball courts, half-court basketball and a clubhouse for hanging out or getting together.
We’re dipping our toes into town, with more places to greet neighbors and gather together in Barefoot Village. Including The Square — a neighborhood destination for residents of both The Lakes and The Village that will be full of energy and things to do. Stop by the Gardner House for a craft beer or cup of coffee. Visit a pop-up farmers market. Drop into a yoga class at Grange Hall. They’re just a few of the things you’ll be able to do when this community hub opens in 2027.
No matter where you live at Barefoot, you’re never more than a few minutes away from a park. On the Lakes side, one of the must-visits is Peninsula Park — the largest in the community. Ideally situated among our two lakes, you can easily spend the day (or a large portion of it) here, thanks to a fitness lawn with outdoor workout equipment and fitness stairs, a picnic lawn, playground, shaded pavilions and an amphitheater.
See the parksIf you want to go out and hit the trails, you’ll find miles of them winding through both sides of our community, around our signature lakes and along the St. Vrain River. Whether you’re pedaling a bike, pushing a stroller, walking the dog or just out for a walk, the scenery doesn’t get much better. And it’s easy to get from The Lakes to The Village (and vice versa) thanks to a pedestrian underpass.
As Barefoot Village takes shape, you’ll find even more outdoor spaces — including The Village Yard, a lawn area within The Square for concerts and gatherings along with natural play features. And that’s just the beginning. More parks pop up throughout our neighborhoods, offering places to play, right down the street from your home — including Barefoot Green, a planned 20-acre park that will include sports fields and courts, a playground, community garden and trails. (You could say being outdoors is a very big deal for us.)
At Barefoot, we think that the best days are the ones full of ways to connect with neighbors and friends. Which is why we make gatherings a priority here. Like community-wide local food and live music. Resident clubs where you can share interests. Fitness classes for cardio and camaraderie. Even the occasional game night. In other words, if you like to have fun, you’re in the right place.
